Embark on an incredible journey from Lusaka, heading south. Brace yourself for a thrilling drive through picturesque landscapes, with the added excitement of navigating around trucks that may have broken down right in the middle of the road. Be prepared to tackle daring corners where unfortunate trailers have met their fate due to faulty brakes or careless driving. The trip will take approximately 2 hours, depending on the number of trucks on the road. Fortunately, the road to Siavonga has been recently rebuilt in 2004, so you can expect a smooth ride without any pesky potholes. Start your adventure just a two and a half-hour drive away from beautiful Lusaka, passing through Kafue town. Cross the magnificent Kafue River and continue straight ahead onto Chirundu Road. After around 70 kilometers, take a right turn and enjoy the stunning scenery for another 60 kilometers or so.
