Zugdidi is a city that is often overlooked by tourists, but it shouldn't be. Located near a national park and serving as a gateway to the stunning region of Svaneti, there are plenty of reasons to visit. One of the highlights is the Inguri dam, which provides access to the neighboring region of Abkhazia. So, while Zugdidi may not be a top tourist destination in itself, it is definitely worth exploring as part of your journey to Mestia and beyond.
