Hidden away in a remote valley, Zhaoxing is a stunning Dong minority town that exudes charm. This picturesque town is filled with ancient wooden buildings, elegant wind and rain bridges, and majestic drum towers, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Although it has undergone some government-sponsored renovations to become a "Chinese Minority Village," it still retains its original character, unlike other towns in the area. The locals affectionately call this place Shaoxing, so remember this name when exploring the town. Good news for travelers, the new motorway is now open, providing convenient access. Simply take the Congjiang East exit, which is just outside the town of Luoxiang. From there, it's a short distance of less than 10km to reach the enchanting Zhaoxing, although be aware that the road between the two is currently in poor condition due to ongoing construction.
