Get in
Zhalong Nature Reserve is easily accessible from Qiqihaer. To get there, you can take Bus 306 from the corner of Longsha Lu and Zhanqian Dajie, just one block north of the train station. Look for the bus signs that say "Zhalong" on them. If the buses aren't there, don't worry! You can take a thrilling 3-wheeled motorcycle taxi or a regular taxi and reach Dagangzi in just five or ten minutes. From there, you'll find the buses waiting in the parking lot on the right side of the road near the gas station. The round-trip ticket costs only 20 and the journey takes about 40 minutes. As of June 2017, Bus 306 now departs from a small lot on Longnan Jie, a street located four major streets to the west of the downtown train station. You can easily spot the lot by looking for a distinctive tall building in dull orange known as Longhua. The lot is on Longnan, just south of Anzhi Lu, in an area with many auto parts stores. It's a short walk from the main train station, so you can save money by not taking a taxi or asking for "Dagangzi". The buses leave every half hour, so there's no need to rush. With a fare of 20 RMB and a ride of 40-50 minutes, you'll be on your way to Zhalong in no time!
