Another myth recounts the story of a royal white elephant getting extremely thirsty and striking the ground with its fangs. As a result, salty water started pouring out from the ground. The king was offered this water, and the village was named "Ywar Ngan," meaning "Salty water pouring out village" in the Myanmar language.
