Flights for Ulaanbaatar to airports in lgii, Hovd, and Ulaangom are available daily or several times a week on Eznis, AeroMongolia, or Hunnu Air. You can easily book your flights to these exciting destinations. If you prefer to explore Mongolia by land, there are direct buses from the Dragon Center in Ulaanbaatar to each Aimag Center. These buses used to take 48 hours to reach lgii and 40 hours to reach Hovd or Ulaangom under ideal conditions. However, thanks to the government's investment in road constructions, the travel time has significantly dropped to 32 hours for lgii and 27 hours for Hovd or Ulaangom! That's more time for you to enjoy your adventure. For shorter journeys within the aimag centers and from the centers to the soums (villages), you can take shared jeeps. Keep in mind that these jeeps can be quite crowded, sometimes fitting up to 15 people and their luggage. But don't worry, they are a common and convenient mode of transportation. Please note that shared jeeps are available daily between Hovd and lgii, as well as Hovd and Ulaangom. However, they are less frequent between lgii and Ulaangom.
