Welcome to EPCOT, the awe-inspiring theme park that brings Walt Disney's creative vision to life. Imagine a world where human achievements are celebrated through imagination, innovation, and the promise of a better future for all. EPCOT Center, opened on October 1, 1982, alongside the beloved Magic Kingdom, is like a permanent world's fair, divided into two captivating areas: Future World and World Showcase. In Future World, you'll embark on an extraordinary journey through pavilions, each showcasing a different facet of human ingenuity, from the exhilarating flight simulation of Soarin Around the World to the adrenaline-pumping Test Track, the fastest ride in the entire resort. Don't miss the iconic Spaceship Earth, housing an enlightening ride through the tapestry of human history, and brace yourself for an authentic NASA-style adventure on Mission Space, as you venture from Earth to Mars. As you step into the World Showcase, prepare to be immersed in a captivating cultural experience. Eleven country-themed pavilions, nestled around a scenic lake, invite you to explore the wonders of Morocco, revel in the beauty of Japan, savor the flavors of Italy, and feel the patriotic spirit of the United States. While there are only two rides in the World Showcase, including the classic Grand Fiesta Tour and the enchanting Frozen Ever After, the entire experience is an enchanting blend of Disney magic and global splendor. Some may call EPCOT an "educational park," but don't be mistaken—this is Disney enchantment at its finest. While adults and older children can delight in the cerebral offerings, young ones won't feel left behind. They can meet beloved characters, embark on the Kidcot Fun Stops adventure, and embrace the vibrant and character-filled rides like the Grand Fiesta Tour, Frozen Ever After, and everything The Seas pavilion has to offer. Just beyond EPCOT's International Gateway lies Disney's BoardWalk, a bustling nightlife and shopping district that transports you to a charming mid-Atlantic beach community.
Get in
Epcot, one of the magical parks in Walt Disney World, offers not just one, but TWO entrances for you to embark on your unforgettable adventure. The first entrance, located in the front of the park, showcases the iconic Spaceship Earth. However, there's a hidden gem known as the "back entrance", conveniently situated between the UK and France Pavilion in the World Showcase. This entrance was specially designed for guests staying at the Boardwalk hotels, providing them with easy access to the wonders of Epcot. The park opens its gates at different times, creating an exciting anticipation. Future World, along with the enchanting Norway Pavilion where you can meet Anna and Elsa and experience the Frozen Ever After ride, welcomes guests during the official park opening at 8 or 9am. As you eagerly explore Future World, you'll find yourself immersed in a world of innovation and marvels. The remaining part of the World Showcase comes alive 1-2 hours later, so be sure to check the schedule for exact opening times. Don't worry though, the adventure doesn't end early. While some pavilions may close a bit earlier, the International Gateway is always open, guiding guests through Canada and the UK pavilions, leading them back to the captivating Future World.
