Understand
EPCOT, the second theme park at Walt Disney World, is a place of Joy, Hope, and Friendship. It was inspired by Walt Disney's remarkable vision and opened on October 1, 1982. The park is divided into two unique areas: Future World and World Showcase. In Future World, you'll find a "World Expo" experience like no other. The park is filled with fascinating pavilions, each showcasing human innovation, imagination, and ways of living. Don't miss out on the exhilarating rides like Soarin' Around the World, where you'll feel like you're flying over famous landmarks, and Test Track, the fastest ride in the entire resort, designed as a thrilling car-testing facility. The iconic Spaceship Earth building is a must-see, taking you on an educational journey through human history. And for those seeking an intergalactic adventure, Mission Space will transport you from Earth to Mars in an authentic NASA-style simulator. The World Showcase takes a different approach, featuring 11 country-themed pavilions surrounding a spectacular lake. From Morocco to Japan and Italy to the United States, each pavilion showcases its culture and people in a unique Disney way. Explore the Grand Fiesta Tour in the Mexico Pavilion, a classic dark ride with the beloved "Three Caballeros" characters. And be sure to experience the newly opened Frozen Ever After in the Norway pavilion, where you'll join your favorite characters from Disney's hit film. While EPCOT is often considered an "educational park", it's presented in the entertaining Disney style we all know and love. While it may appeal more to adults and older children, there are plenty of character greetings and colorful rides, like the Grand Fiesta Tour and Frozen Ever After, to entertain younger guests. Don't forget, just outside EPCOT's International Gateway, you'll find the lively nightlife and shopping area known as Disney's BoardWalk.
Get in
Embark on an unforgettable adventure at Epcot, the one-of-a-kind park at Walt Disney World that offers not one but TWO entrances! Prepare for an immersive experience as you enter through the iconic "front entrance" located at Spaceship Earth. But wait, there's more! The park also boasts a lesser-known "back entrance" situated between the UK and France Pavilion in the World Showcase. This entrance was specifically designed for guests staying at one of the hotels of the Boardwalk. As you explore Epcot, you'll discover two distinct areas that unfold at different times. Future World and the Norway Pavilion are accessible right from the park opening, which typically occurs at 8 or 9 am. Here, you can meet Anna and Elsa and enjoy the enchanting Frozen Ever After ride. The rest of the World Showcase opens 1-2 hours later (check the schedule), allowing you to leisurely explore the diverse pavilions. While the World Showcase may close a bit earlier than the rest, fear not! The International Gateway remains open, and friendly cast members will guide you through the Canada and UK pavilions as you make your way to Future World. With its dual entrances and captivating attractions, Epcot promises a magical experience like no other. Brace yourself for a day of wonder and joy as you embark on the journey of a lifetime!
