Welcome to Animal Kingdom, a kingdom filled with real, ancient and imagined creatures. Here, lions, dinosaurs, and dragons rule, creating a world of balance, harmony, and survival. As we enter this kingdom, we are invited to share in the wonder, gaze at the beauty, thrill at the drama, and learn.

Walt Disney World's fourth and newest theme park, opened its doors in April 1998, joining the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney-MGM Studios. Unlike a traditional zoo, Animal Kingdom offers much more than just a collection of animals in tiny cages. The animals here roam expansive habitats designed to replicate their natural environments, with cleverly camouflaged barriers keeping them at a safe distance from visitors - and each other. At night, they retire to comfortable indoor housing.

While the animals are no doubt the stars of the show, a new thrill ride, Expedition Everest, has captured everyone's attention. This towering mini-mountain stands 200 feet above the surrounding terrain, making it visible from far away. It even threatens to overshadow the Tree of Life, which has long served as the park's iconic landmark. But don't be fooled, the Tree is most impressive up close, revealing its immense size and intricate details.

In addition to Expedition Everest, Animal Kingdom offers a range of other major rides and attractions for visitors to enjoy. These include:

• It's Tough to be a Bug: A 3-D movie based on the Pixar film A Bug's Life.
• Kilimanjaro Safaris: A thrilling jeep ride through a recreated African savanna.

• Dinosaur: Embark on a time travel adventure back to the late Cretaceous period.
• Flight of Passage: Headlining attraction in Pandora: The World of Avatar, where you can ride on the back of famous banshees for an exhilarating journey through the world of Pandora.
• Navi River Journey: Embark on a relaxing boat ride through the bioluminescent forest of the Valley of Moara in search of the Navi Shaman of Songs.

Just a stone's throw away from Animal Kingdom sits Blizzard Beach, a sprawling water park themed as a melting ski resort.

Prepare for an unforgettable experience at the extraordinary Animal Kingdom. While the park used to close at 5PM, the current schedule showcases extended hours until 6, 7, or even 8PM on select nights. Although the animals may not be on display after 5PM, you can still immerse yourself in the thrilling attractions, such as Expedition Everest. Get ready to embark on as many expeditions as your heart desires! Additionally, the park takes part in the Extra Magic Hours program, offering both morning and evening opportunities to make magical memories.
