The locals have a good understanding of Albanian but may be hesitant to speak it; however, language barriers should not pose any problems. The journey to Velika Hoa is not an easy one, as there is no public transportation available in this direction. However, there are alternative ways to reach the village. The most convenient option is to travel to the town of Orahovac from Pristina or Prizren. Once you arrive in Orahovac, you can hire a taxi to take you to Velika Hoa. Another option is to walk from Orahovac to the village, which is approximately 4 km away. If you choose to walk, you can ask for directions in the Serbian quarter of the town, near the local church. It is important to note that there have been incidents of attacks on Serbs along the road, so caution is advised during this journey.
