Get in
The vibrant City Centre serves as the ultimate destination for transit users, with all roads, buses, and trains leading towards its bustling streets. Experience the thrill of commuting through downtown Vancouver with these transit options: - Waterfront Station, the main hub located at Cordova Street, is where the SkyTrain, SeaBus, West Coast Express, and numerous bus routes converge. - Granville Station (Expo Line) and Vancouver City Centre (Canada Line) at the corner of Georgia and Granville Streets act as pickup points for various local and suburban bus routes. - Burrard Station, situated at the intersection of Burrard and Dunsmuir Streets, serves as a pickup point for local buses connecting UBC, Kitsilano, Vancouver's west side, and suburban destinations on the east side of the North Shore. Driving around downtown Vancouver is generally hassle-free outside of rush hour. However, parking can be a challenge, making it best to leave your car outside the city centre. Instead, choose to travel via SkyTrain from the east or south or opt for the SeaBus from the stunning North Shore. If you prefer driving, Georgia Street is the main thoroughfare through the CBD. It continues through Stanley Park and the West End, ultimately leading to the North Shore via the iconic Lions Gate Bridge. Access from the south is available via bridges over False Creek, such as the Burrard, Granville, and Cambie bridges. Choose the bridge closest to your location for a seamless journey downtown. Parking in the city centre can be costly and hard to find. Expect to pay between $12-25 per day for parking in a parkade. Keep in mind that on-street parking meters are in effect from 9 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week. Additional parking restrictions may apply during rush hour. Plan accordingly to make the most of your visit to downtown Vancouver.
