Valencia International Airport, also known as Arturo Michelena, is the gateway to the vibrant city of Valencia in Venezuela. Upon arrival, you can easily hail a taxi and be whisked away to your hotel in no time. If you prefer to have your own wheels, there are car rental counters available at the airport, offering reputable options such as Hertz and National. If you're arriving at Maiquetia International Airport, the largest airport in Venezuela located just outside of Caracas, you'll need to embark on a scenic drive westward on the Autopista Regional del Centro. This main highway stretches for approximately 220 kilometers, connecting Caracas and Valencia. Along the way, you'll encounter some tolls, but the journey is well worth it. Valencia is well-connected to other major cities in Venezuela through a network of well-maintained highways. If you're planning to explore beyond Valencia, you can easily catch a bus from Caracas, Barquisimeto, Mrida, or Maracaibo. The main bus terminal is conveniently located in the Big Low Centre, a popular shopping center northeast of Valencia, near the San Diego region. From there, you can take another bus or a taxi to reach the heart of Valencia.
