Traveling to Tikal has never been easier! There are two convenient buses that depart from the Santa Elena bus station each day. The first bus leaves at 1 PM and the second bus leaves at 3 PM. These buses are a great way to explore the Mayan ruins of Tikal. They arrive in town at 4 PM and 6 PM respectively, giving you plenty of time to start your adventure. The return trip in the morning is just as convenient, with the first bus leaving at 6 AM. Please note that the second departure time may vary, so it's always best to check with the bus station. In September 2014, the bus arrived at Tikal at 4 PM, only slightly delayed by about 20 minutes. The cost for the bus ride is 15Q, making it an affordable option for your journey.
