If you're planning a trip to Tsumkwe, make sure to pack enough supplies as there is only one gas station in town, and it might not always have what you need. The managers of Tsumkwe lodge initially had doubts about having a petrol station in such a remote location, but you can try pre-ordering fuel with the lodge to be safe. In case you run out of food, there are two shops in town where you can find basic supplies, and one of them functions as a post office as well. However, their stock mainly consists of maize meal, beer, and soft drinks. So, it's best to stock up in Grootfontein before heading to Tsumkwe!
