To enter the park, you will need a SmartCard. Don't worry, you can easily obtain and load the SmartCard at the Voi gate. Here's how the system works: - Point of Issue (POI): At the POI, you will be issued with the SmartCard and your details will be recorded on it. Remember, citizens and residents must provide proof of identity. You can find POIs at the Nairobi Park Main Gate, Lake Nakuru Park Main Gate, Tsavo East Main Gate (Voi), and Mombasa KWS Offices. - Point of Sale (POS): Visit the sales office to load money onto your SmartCard. You'll find POS locations at the Nairobi Park Main Gate, Lake Nakuru Park Main Gate, Tsavo East Park Main Gate (Voi), Aberdare Hqs., Mombasa KWS Offices, Malindi Marine Park, Amboseli Park Meshanani Gate, and Tsavo West Mtito Andei Gate. - Point of Access (POA): This is where you enter the park through the gates. Simply present your SmartCard and the appropriate amount will be deducted based on your visitor category.
