Understand
Trikora Beach on Bintan's east coast used to be a hotspot for local visitors and backpackers. However, in recent years, larger developments and tourist destinations have emerged, transforming the area and attracting more tourists. But don't worry, Trikora still remains a popular day trip option for locals. The beach is actually a long stretch of separate beaches, numbered from south to north as one to four. The northernmost beach, known as Trikora Beach Four (Trikora Empat), is located right next to the "border" with Bintan Resorts. It's a vast beach with basic shelters available for rent from nearby food sellers. However, be cautious during monsoon season as the waves can be quite powerful and swimming is prohibited.

Planning a trip to Bintan? Check out the main article for all the details on how to get to this stunning island paradise from Singapore or anywhere else. Once you're on Bintan, there are two exciting routes to Trikora. Head south from the main port of Tanjung Pinang for a scenic journey. If you're staying in the Bintan Resorts area, take the northern route. Keep in mind that taxis in the northern zone can be quite expensive, so most visitors prefer Tanjung Pinang. A taxi from the main ferry terminal should cost no more than 350,000 Rp. If you're feeling adventurous, why not rent a motorbike to experience the wind in your hair? Negotiate a fair price with one of the eager motorcycle rental vendors outside the ferry station. The journey to Shady Shack or the newly opened Marjoly Beach near Kawal takes just over an hour, and the ride alone is a delight, offering picturesque views of village life and breathtaking waters. You can also rent a motorbike at the ferry terminal or in Tanjung Pinang itself for around 100,000 rupiah per day. So get ready for an unforgettable island adventure in Bintan!
