Understand
The Togean Islands, located in the picturesque Tomini Gulf, can be reached from Gorontalo in the north or Ampana in the south. Although the journey may be long, it is absolutely worth it! The Togean Islands consist of three main islands, namely Togean, Batudaka, and Pulau Una Una, along with a total of 56 smaller islands. Malenge, Wakai, and Bomba are famous spots to visit, where you can marvel at the stunning white sandy beaches. It's important to note that all hotels in the Togean Islands charge per person, not per room. Additionally, there are no ATMs on the islands, so make sure to bring enough cash with you. However, there are ATMs available on the mainland that accept Mastercard, VISA, and Cirrus. Some (dive) resorts in the Togean Islands have satellite internet connections and accept payment by credit card or money transfer. It's advisable to confirm the available payment options with your chosen resort when booking your accommodation.
