If you're looking to explore the beautiful islands of the Faroe Islands, the public ferry Smyril M/S offers regular departures from Trshavn to Suuroy. Suuroy is known as the "Suuroy Route" and is operated by Smyril. Adult tickets cost 90 DKK, while children's tickets are priced at 45 DKK. Payment is only required for the return journey to Trshavn. If you plan to bring a car, the price for the car and driver is 225 DKK, with payment also due only for the Suuroy to Trshavn stretch. Similar payment arrangements apply to other islands, except for Mykines. To reach Trshavn from the airport, buses are available and take approximately one hour, stopping at the port along the way.
