Getting to Stewart Visiting Stewart is an exciting adventure that starts with the journey. The drive from Terrace takes around 4 hours, while Smithers is 4 1/2 hours away, and Prince Rupert is about a 6-hour drive. If you're coming from a distant location, consider flying into Terrace, Smithers, or Prince Rupert and renting a vehicle to make your way to Stewart. Another option is arriving by air at Stewart Airport. Although it's a small landing strip mainly for small planes, it offers a unique and breathtaking approach to the town. As of September 2015, there are no commercial airlines flying into or out of Stewart. However, if you're a fan of private or chartered flights, this can be an extraordinary choice to start your Stewart adventure.
