However, for a unique adventure, consider entering from the stunning Lake Sevan Region or even from Iran. To make your journey more exciting, there are several ways to reach Southern Armenia: - Join a tour van or arrange for a private taxi/van if you prefer a hassle-free experience. - Share a taxi with fellow travelers to split the costs and enjoy a fun ride to your destination. - Rent a car and take control of your own adventure, exploring the region at your own pace. - Experience the local culture by taking public transport. Buses or vans, known as marshutnis, can take you to your desired town or even past it. Keep in mind that public transport can be overcrowded but is a cheap option. - For the more adventurous spirits, hitchhiking is still an acceptable way to travel through Southern Armenia. However, solo female travelers may attract more attention and might consider other transportation options. Note that Jermuk, a captivating town, is not on the North-South highway. If you wish to visit Jermuk, your best option is to catch a bus or van that goes directly there. However, if you're up for an adventure, hitchhiking or finding a cab in one of the towns along the highway can also be exciting. Get ready to immerse yourself in the charm of Southern Armenia.
