Along the train route from London, you'll also find stops in Winchester, Petersfield, Amberley, Hassocks, Lewes, and Eastbourne. Please note that if you're a cyclist, some trains have restrictions on bike transportation, so plan accordingly. Additionally, be aware that car parking is usually good, but in towns and villages, you may need to search for and pay for parking spaces. Narrow lanes and steep hills are common in the area, so it's not recommended to bring a caravan when exploring the beautiful South Downs. • The easiest way to get to Devil's Dyke is by bus. Here are the bus options:
• Number 77 service: This bus runs on winter Sundays and Bank Holidays (except Christmas Day), and in the spring/autumn it runs on weekends and Bank Holidays. In the summer, it runs every day.
• Number 17 Stagecoach service to Poynings: This bus will take you to Poynings, which is a 20-minute walk from Devil's Dyke.
