Den Bosch, with a population of approximately 140,000, is a vibrant city that is rapidly growing. However, the city is reaching its limits due to the fact that almost all available land for building has been utilized. But don't picture the entire area as one giant cityscape! Den Bosch still boasts several spacious parks, and the southern edge of the city is a protected natural reserve. Den Bosch can be divided into 9 regions, each made up of several unique neighborhoods, offering different atmospheres and experiences: - Centre: This area is enclosed within the city walls and is a bustling hub of activity. Here, you can find most of the city's famous sights and places to visit. - North: Located between the city center and the A59, this area includes neighborhoods such as de Rompert, Orthen, Herven, and the Prins Hendrik Park. - Maaspoort: Situated north of the A59, Maaspoort is primarily a residential area with some industrial presence. - Hintham: This region surrounds the FC Den Bosch football stadium. - South: Spanning between the city center and the A2 highway in the south, this area is predominantly residential, but also houses numerous office buildings. - West: Found west of the central station, this region is characterized by its industrial presence. It also includes residential neighborhoods like Kruiskamp and Helftheuvel. Don't miss the Brabanthallen, located here. - Engelen: Engelen is a charming village currently undergoing the development of Haverleij, a residential complex situated on a golf course. - Rosmalen: This town lies east of the A2 and offers its own distinct character. - Empel: A quaint village located to the north of Rosmalen. While most visitor attractions are concentrated in the center, including the football stadium and the Sportiom, Den Bosch has diverse offerings throughout its various regions and neighborhoods.
