Another popular route is the tourist train from Beijing to Datong, which departs in the afternoon and arrives by evening, allowing you to conveniently explore Datong's attractions. And if you're in Nanjing, there's a long bus ride available to Yuncheng, departing from Nanjing bus station. Keep in mind that buses do not operate between 2-6 am due to traffic laws, but you can opt for a sleeper bus to make your journey more comfortable.
