Visiting Shanghai's vibrant Pudong district? Convenient transportation options are at your fingertips. Metro Line 2's Lujiazui Station is situated right in the heart of Pudong's bustling business district, allowing easy access to popular attractions such as the Pearl Tower and the Jin Mao Tower. If you need to transfer to other metro lines, head to Century Avenue Metro Station, a major transfer hub that connects Lines 2, 4, 6, and 9. Looking to cross the river and explore both Puxi and Pudong? No problem! Lines 13, 12, 11, 8, and 7 provide seamless connections between the two areas. For a thrilling and ultra-fast experience, hop on the Maglev train from Pudong Airport to Longyang Rd Station. With a top speed of 430 kph (270 mph), this magnetic levitation train is sure to give you an adrenaline rush. The Maglev also offers connections to Lines 2, 7, and 16, making it easy for you to reach your final destination. If you prefer a more traditional mode of transportation, Line 2 can take you directly to Pudong Airport. Need to get from Puxi to Pudong without breaking the bank? Take the ferry from the Bund near Yan'an Donglu for only 2 yuan. Enjoy the scenic views as you cruise across the river, soaking in the beauty of Shanghai's skyline. If you're up for a unique adventure, consider taking the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel. Although it may come at a higher cost, this underground travellator offers a one-of-a-kind experience with its blinking lights and various props. While it may not be the most exhilarating ride, it could be a hit with young children who enjoy slow-paced movements and harmless attractions. For those on four wheels, the Yan'an Tunnel serves as the main road for cars entering and exiting the district. Keep in mind that during rush hours and on weekends from 5PM to 9PM, there might be significant traffic, resulting in potential delays of up to 30 minutes. If you find yourself stuck in traffic during these hours and need to cross by taxi, try persuading your driver to take the Renmin Lu Tunnel further south. Pedestrians looking to cross the Huangpu River from the west side will have to rely on other means of transportation such as the metro, taxi, ferry, sightseeing tunnel, or bus. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated bridge for pedestrians at the moment. However, fear not, as there are plenty of alternatives to choose from to reach your destination in Pudong. Happy exploring!
