Set Set Yo Village has gained recognition for its efforts in preserving traditional Myanmar Hairstyles. In Myanmar, boys wear the "Yaung Pay Suu" style, while girls adorn the "San Yit Htone" style. This cultural tradition was fading away, but the superior monks of the village monastery have dedicated themselves to safeguarding it for over 80 years. While it is not mandatory for children to adopt this hairstyle, parents and monks actively encourage its preservation. The monks impart knowledge about Myanmar's ancient culture and traditions to children aged 5 to 14, instilling a sense of pride in their heritage. Currently, there are 35 children proudly sporting the traditional Myanmar hairstyle in Set Set Yo Village.
