Trains depart regularly, every 30 minutes, from Sergiev Posad to Moscow's Yaroslavsky train station. You can easily catch a train at Komsomolskaya metro station (red line). A one-way ticket to Sergiev Posad costs 176 rubles (prices in July, 2018) and 181 rubles in 2014 on the express train (which runs 5-6 times a day and takes about 1 hour). This makes it a convenient and affordable day trip from Moscow. If you prefer to take a bus, you can hop on bus 388 at VDNKh (VVTs) for just 145 rubles. Buses run every 15 minutes. However, be aware that there are often traffic jams on the way from MKAD to Pushkino, especially during rush hours. So plan your trip accordingly. For those who prefer to drive, you can reach Sergiev Posad by taking Yaroslavskoe highway from Rizhski Vokzal (Rizhski train station) or VVTs (VDNKh). The drive takes approximately 2 hours to cover the distance of 70km (40 miles). However, as mentioned earlier, be cautious about the potential traffic jams. The construction of a new intersection between Korolyov and Mytishchi has slightly improved the situation, but there are still congested areas before and after the intersection, particularly close to MKAD and in Klyaz'ma village.
