Fortunately, "Da Parish" has made significant strides in its recovery and rebuilding efforts since 2012. It's important to note that there are no incorporated communities within St. Bernard Parish. Therefore, the names of towns and places can be somewhat fluid, based on local traditions rather than strict legal boundaries. So, if you stumble upon a quaint restaurant in what your maps indicate as "Violet" but find "Chalmette" on the menu and a mailing address listed as "Meraux," don't fret!
