Get in
Rocamadour, a picturesque village, can only be accessed by one road that winds through the charming town. If you prefer not to drive, you can reach Rocamadour by train. From the train station, you have the option to call for a taxi, which costs approximately 12-13 euros. Alternatively, you can walk 3km to l'Hospitalet, a nearby village that offers tourist information offices, cafes, and charming tourist shops. To reach the village on foot, cross the 'square' or car park in front of the station. As you step onto the road, you'll immediately notice a family-run hotel and cafe directly in front of you. Turn left and walk along this road for about 25 meters until you come across a path on the right, marked by wooden signposts. This path will lead you through flat paths surrounded by stunning fields, offering a truly picturesque walk. Junctions along the way are clearly marked with signposts, ensuring an easy and enjoyable journey. When you eventually meet the main road, turn left to reach L'Hospitalet. From L'Hospitalet, it's only 1.5 km along the cliff-top road, which treats you to breathtaking views, to the Chateau. Once at the Chateau, you can take a lift down to the Sanctuaries and then another lift down to reach the main road of the enchanting village. Here, you'll find an array of shops, hotels, restaurants, and more, all waiting to be explored.
