Discover the captivating beauty of Redang Island as part of the magnificent Redang Marine Park, which encompasses all nine islands in the Redang Archipelago. Redang Island is renowned for its enchanting crystal-clear waters, pristine white sandy beaches, and an abundance of tropical fish that call the surrounding reefs their home. Many of these remarkable reefs are located just 50 feet from the shoreline. Contrasting with the backpacker scene found in the neighboring Perhentian Islands, Redang Island boasts a more luxurious ambiance with its predominantly resort-based accommodations. On the eastern side, you'll find the picturesque Pasir Panjang beach, which is home to several resorts. However, do keep in mind that the water might be slightly choppier on the southern end of this beach, and there may be more debris compared to the serene beaches further north. For the best snorkeling opportunities, head to the northern part of Pasir Panjang. Plan your vacation during the summer school break, and you'll be rewarded with significantly fewer crowds at the resorts. It wouldn't be uncommon to find yourself among just a handful of people or even having the entire beach to yourself on the northern end.
