Ventisquero Colgante, a stunning glacier in Chile, is a must-visit if you're traveling along the Carretera Austral. Here's how you can get there:
- Buses: All buses traveling on the Carretera Austral can drop you off at the entrance for Ventisquero Colgante. The entrance is about 70 km south of La Junta or 20 km south of Puyuhuapi. You can also reach Ventisquero Colgante from Chaiten or Coyhaique.
- Driving: If you're traveling by car or bike, keep in mind that this part of the Carretera Austral is currently a gravel road. However, it is in the process of being paved as of November 2017.
