If you are traveling between Belize City and P.G, there are several transportation options available to you. The most affordable option is to take a bus. James Bus Line offers regular and express buses, with the journey taking around 5 to 6 and a half hours depending on the bus type. The bus departs from the Novelo bus terminal in Belize City, and you can pay the fare while the bus is on the move. If you prefer a quicker mode of transportation, you can also choose to fly. Both Maya and Tropic have flights to P.G, with Tropic offering flights from the international airport or the Belize Municipal Airstrip. The flight duration is approximately 45 minutes, but do note that Tropic flight prices may vary. Alternatively, you can take a water taxi from Puerto Barrios in Guatemala. There are 5 daily water taxis operating this route, with a journey time of around 1 and a quarter hours. Another option is to take a direct boat from Livingston, Guatemala, which runs once daily and twice on Tuesdays or Fridays. The boat trip takes 45 minutes. Please be aware that the water taxi service is weather-dependent. For those traveling from Tikal, you can take a bus to Rio Dulce and then continue your journey by boat along the magnificent Rio Dulce river, which will take you to Livingston. From there, you can take the water taxi to P.G. Here is the ferry schedule for your reference: - Leaving PG to Pto Barrios: 9:30AM, 10:30AM, 1:00PM, 2:00PM, and 4:00PM. - Pto Barrios to PG: 8:00AM, 10:00AM, 1:00PM, 2:00PM, and 3:00PM. - PG to Livingston: 1:00PM daily, 11:00 AM Tuesdays and Fridays, and other days when at least six people want to go. - Livingston to PG: 3:00PM daily, 7:00AM Tuesdays and Fridays.
