Planning a trip to the enchanting city of Praia? Look no further! Praia has its very own international airport, making it a convenient destination to fly into. TACV (the national flag carrier) and TAP airlines offer flights to various destinations in Europe, Africa, South America, and the United States. So no matter where you're coming from, you can easily reach Praia. Upon arrival at the airport, you have a couple of options to get to the city center. Taxis are available and will cost around 800/1000. You can pay in Euros (10 Euros to Praia in June 2016). Another option is the bus line that serves the airport, but it's recommended to take a taxi as there are only one or two buses serving this line. If you prefer to travel by sea, you can also enter the city through the port. Ferry boats have irregular service to and from the islands of Maio, Boavista, Sal, Sao Nicolau, Sao Vicente, and Fogo. Currency exchange services are available at hotels and in the city. The exchange rate in June 2016 was 1 Euro = 105 Escudos at the hotel and 1 Euro = 110 Escudos in the city.
