Get in
To get to Port Antonio, there are several options depending on where you are coming from. If you are traveling from Kingston, you can fly into Norman Manley International Airport and then take a cab or rent a car for the approximately 3-hour journey. If you prefer a more local experience, you can also take a bus from the Central bus station in Kingston, known as "The Half Way Tree" terminal. The bus ride is about 2.5 hours and may feature lively music from the 80's and 90's. Another option is the scheduled Knutsford Express bus from Kingston to Port Antonio.
If you are in Ocho Rios, you can either take a cab, drive east on Highway A4/A3, or take a flight from Ocho Rios private airport.
If you arrive at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, you can expect a scenic 3-hour ride along the north coast to Port Antonio.
Upon arrival, you may encounter friendly locals eager to show you around. Though engaging in conversation and taking a tour can be informative, be sure to negotiate the price in advance.
