Getting to Palampur is hassle-free with multiple transportation options. You can choose to travel by bus, which provides excellent connectivity to neighboring states. Another exciting option is the narrow gauge train journey till Maranda, which offers a fun-filled experience. Please note that currently the train is not running up to Palampur due to a breach, but do enquire at the counter in Pathankot for updates. If you prefer a more personalized mode of transport, taxis are available from Pathankot. The approximate cost for a sedan in October 2014 was Rs 2000.
