Pacet is a popular resort located in the hilly region, attracting many travelers from Surabaya, especially the younger ones, looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. This serene destination offers stunning natural beauty and, in particular, a few rejuvenating hot springs. However, Pacet faced a devastating setback during a major holiday season in 2002 when a tragic landslide occurred. Unfortunately, this disaster claimed the lives of many visitors who were enjoying a swim in the hot spring pools. As a result, the hot spring had to be relocated for safety reasons. This incident serves as a reminder of both the allure and the importance of being cautious while exploring nature's wonders.
