Visiting Orchid Island is an exciting adventure, but be prepared for the unpredictable weather conditions. Daily Air operates around 6 flights per day from Taitung to Orchid Island's airport, but flights can be canceled even with winds as low as 55 km per hour. It is also possible to reach the island by ferry from Taitung, although the seas can be very rough.
