Planning a trip to Noordoostpolder? Let us help you navigate the roads and public transportation options. The A6 is the main access road to the whole Noordoostpolder, passing directly by Emmeloord. It's your gateway to Amsterdam and the north, connecting to the A1 and A7. If you're driving from Amsterdam and want to visit Schokland, simply follow the A6 and take exit 13 for Urk. Then, continue on the N352 towards Nagele and Schokland. From Emmeloord, you can also reach Schokland by taking the N50 to Ens and then the N362. For those relying on public transportation, Bus 315 is your best bet to reach Emmeloord from Lelystad or Groningen. If you're coming from Amsterdam, hop on a train to Lelystad and catch the bus there. Unfortunately, Emmeloord does not have its own train station. You can also take Bus 325 to travel between Emmeloord and Groningen. Schokland is not well-served by public transport, so it's recommended to arrange a rental bike or car if you want to visit. However, if you're in Emmeloord, you can still take Bus 141 (direction Zwolle) and get off at stop Sloetweg. From there, it's about a 30-minute walk to Schokland. Whether you're driving or taking the bus, we've got you covered for your Noordoostpolder adventure!
