While the country itself presents some challenges when it comes to traveling, there are options available. Lufthansa Airlines occasionally offers flights to Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, specifically from Germany. Another way to reach Asmara is through Egypt, Yemen, or Sudan. Once in Asmara, every tourist's dream is to visit Nakfa, a well-known and exotic historic spot. However, transportation to Nakfa is not readily available. Fear not though, there is a solution! Take a bus to Keren town, where you can arrange for a village van to Afabet the next day. From there, you will experience a few hours of travel discomfort, yet ultimately reach Afabet.
