Get in
Are you planning a trip from Dar es Salaam? Well, there are several buses available on a daily basis from different bus stations like Ubungo, Temeke, and Mbagala. The average travel time is around 8 hours, but during the rainy season, some parts of the road may get flooded. Don't worry though, it's usually still passable. However, make sure to choose a bus with four seats in a row for a more comfortable ride. Sitting at the back half of the bus during the non-paved part of the journey might be a bit bumpy but adds to the thrill! From Lindi, you have buses operating throughout the morning. In the afternoon, you can take a bus to Mnazi Mmoja (Mingoyo) and catch an onward bus from there, which takes around 2 hours. Masasi offers buses throughout the day, with the last one departing in the mid-afternoon after about 4 or 5 hours. If you're in Newala, there is a morning bus available, and later in the day, you can find pickups, although they can be quite packed and uncomfortable on the dirt road. In Mozambique, pickups are available to meet the public transport arriving on the other side of the border. If you prefer flying, Precision Air also offers flights from Dar es Salaam, although their timetable can be a bit unpredictable. Get ready for an exciting journey to your destination!
