They will assist you in arranging boat hire to transport you to the northern tip of Meinmahla Kyun, where the FREDA Guesthouse awaits. Brace yourself for an exhilarating two-hour boat ride, costing around 80,000 kyat (return) for up to 8 passengers. It is wise to purchase food for your stay in Bogalay. For the ultimate wildlife experience, consider joining forces with a park ranger who possesses invaluable knowledge about the best wildlife-spotting areas. To reach Bogalay, there are multiple options from Yangon. You can embark on the Shwe Pyi Tan Express boat, which departs at 6 am and takes approximately 6 hours, costing 12,000 kyat. Alternatively, the IWT ferry is another choice, departing at 6 pm and offering a 12-hour journey. Deck tickets cost $5, while cabin berths are available for $25. If you prefer land travel, regular buses depart from Hlaing Thar Yar Bus Station, taking approximately 3.5 hours and costing 3000 kyat. Additionally, you can catch a minibus from Dala, near the Yangon-Dala Ferry dock, which takes around 2.5 hours and costs 4000 kyat.
