Get in
When it comes to getting around New York City, the subway is your best friend. There are multiple subway lines that serve the neighborhood. The A, C, and E lines run under 8th Ave, stopping at 14th St, 23rd St, and 34th St. The 1, 2, and 3 lines run under 7th Ave, with the 1 making additional stops at 18th St, 28th St, and 34th St. If you're in the mood for exploring 6th Ave, you can take the F and M lines, which stop at 14th St, 23rd St, and 34th St. The L train runs east from its terminal at 14th St and 8th Ave, also stopping at 6th Ave. If you're coming from outside of New York City, Penn Station is the main hub for Amtrak, Long Island Rail Road, and New Jersey Transit. PATH subway service is also available, connecting to Hoboken and Jersey City. Additionally, there are numerous bus routes that run north-south on every avenue and east-west on larger streets such as 14th St, 23rd St, and 34th St. Keep in mind that buses can be slower during peak hours, so plan accordingly for your journey.
