Malaybalay is a picturesque town nestled in the peaceful countryside, surrounded by majestic mountain ranges. Unlike its bigger counterpart, Baguio city, Malaybalay offers a more intimate and unspoiled experience with friendly locals and vast open spaces on a wide plateau. The climate in Malaybalay is mild, yet still pleasantly crisp at night. Located further south from the Typhoon belt, the town is protected from storms. Additionally, the mountains in Bukidnon are not as steep as those in the Cordillera's, ensuring safety from landslides. When visiting Malaybalay, make sure to stop by the small tourism information cabin at Pines View Park, located behind the capitol building.
