Understand
Lbbecke, located in the southwestern part of the district of Minden-Lbbecke, boasts a diverse topography. While the main town is situated on the lowlands of the North German Plain, its southern quarters extend up the northern hillside of the Wiehen Hills. The rest of the borough is predominantly flat and rural in character, offering picturesque landscapes.
Lbbecke is surrounded by natural wonders. The Heidbrink, with its peak standing at 320 meters, is the highest hill in Lbbecke's territory. However, the Wurzelbrink, slightly lower in height, is more famous thanks to its stone observation tower called the Wartburg. This tower serves as the turning point for the annual 14-kilometer race named after it, which starts and ends in Lbbecke.
