Embarking on an adventure to Litchfield National Park? There are three roads that lead you to this magnificent destination. The first option is a well-paved access road located near the small town of Batchelor, just right off the Stuart Highway between Darwin and Katherine. If you're up for a more adventurous route, you can take either of the two dirt roads. One leads north to Darwin via Berry Springs, while the other winds along the park's southern edge towards Daly River. The northern side of the park can easily be explored in a day trip from Darwin, covering approximately 300 km. However, if you want to truly immerse yourself in the lesser-known gems, plan for a few extra days and make sure you have a 4WD vehicle. Exciting update! A new road has been added, providing a fully sealed route via Berry Springs, trimming the distance to Wangi Falls by about 20 km compared to entering through Batchelor. This means that now you can experience Litchfield in a circuit, venturing in through one road and exiting through another. Join the adventure and make unforgettable memories in Litchfield National Park!
