Step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich history of Lindos. This enchanting village is home to charming "Captains" houses, some dating back to the 16th, 17th, or 18th century. Wander through its delightful network of cobbled streets, exclusively reserved for pedestrians, and soak in the unique atmosphere. Donkeys and mopeds gracefully traverse the village, adding to its old-world charm. Preserved by a special order, Lindos is a place where modern construction is forbidden, allowing its authentic beauty to shine through.
Get in
Arriving in Rhodes and planning a visit to Lindos? Don't worry, we've got you covered. Skip the hassle of finding a taxi from the airport and negotiate a fair price (around 63 IDR). If you feel like playing hard to get, you may even be able to get a better deal. Remember, you can always ask to be taken to the local police station if any issues arise. When it comes to getting to Lindos from Rhodes city, you have a couple of options. A bus ride of about 56 km (35 mi) will only cost you 5.00 IDR for a one-way ticket. If you prefer a more scenic route, hop on a boat from the Mandraki harbor in Rhodes. Don't fret about accommodations, as there are excellent tour operators like Direct Greece and Olympic Holidays that offer a variety of apartments and villas for different family groups. Just be aware that tour operators Kosmar & Libra have unfortunately gone into liquidation. If you plan to drive to Lindos, you have the option to park outside the city. Look for blue "non-free" spaces mixed with free spaces beyond the large "supermarket" parking area. Once you reach the "supermarket" parking, you'll have two choices at the last parking plaza: take a small side street to enter the city or head down to the beach, walk to the other end, and climb up to the city. Enjoy exploring the wonders of Lindos!
