Once you arrive in Venice via the Aeroporto Marco Polo, embark on an adventure via the exciting Alilaguna waterbus. Just a short walk from the airport (turn left after exiting), you'll find the Alilaguna waterbus station. Follow the signs, and in no time, the boat will take you on a picturesque journey to Lido, making only a few stops along the way. Please note that the boat ride takes a minimum of 30 minutes as it navigates through the airport channels. If you are already in Venice, take advantage of the convenient ACTV waterbus or vaporetto, which will transport you to Lido in approximately 10 minutes. It's important to have a Venice travel card, which is valid for travel within Venice, but keep in mind that it is not valid for travel to and from the airport, as that is operated by a different company. If you plan to stay on Lido, investing in a travel card is a worthwhile choice. Avoid traveling during "rush hour" times, particularly early morning and late afternoon when the platforms are crowded with residents and children. Also, be mindful to avoid the local vaporetto's designated "for residents only." For an alternative route, you can also board a boat in Punta Sabbioni, located at the southwestern tip of Cavallino/Treporti. This option offers a scenic 15-20 minute journey to your destination.
