In 1994, a team of professional archaeologists from various academic and research institutes in the United Kingdom embarked on an exciting excavation project at a historical site. Led by Dr. Hafed Walda from Kings College London, and sponsored by the Society for Libyan Studies, this team set out to uncover the mysteries of a remarkable building located near a theater. This building, known as Lubda in Arabic, is believed to be the largest among the Roman ruins in Libya. So far, the team has dedicated two seasons to uncovering its secrets, making significant discoveries along the way.
