When it comes to wine tourism, the Langhe region is truly exceptional. Nowhere else in the world do they produce wine like they do here. One of the most remarkable aspects is the use of the difficult but noble nebbiolo grape, which is responsible for creating two of the world's finest wines: Barbaresco and Barolo, also known as "the king of wines and the wine of kings." Despite attempts to export this grape, no other wine has been able to match the quality of those produced in Langhe. But it's not just nebbiolo that makes Langhe special. There are other exciting red wines to discover, such as barbera and the more straightforward dolcetto. While not as famous, the region also produces white wines like arneis and chardonnay. Moreover, Langhe boasts unique local varieties like freisa, which is used to make a lightly sparkling red wine, and grignolino. And let's not forget about the moscato grape, which is primarily used to make a delightful low-alcohol dessert wine.
