Understand
Kontum, a tranquil town in Vietnam, may not have many notable sights of its own, but it is renowned for its neighboring minority villages. These villages are home to various ethnic groups including the Sedang, Bahnar, Jarai, Gieh Trieng, and Rengao. The true gems of these villages are their magnificent communal houses called Rongs, where the villagers come together for special occasions. Interestingly, despite the remoteness of this region, the area has seen success in French Catholic missionary work, resulting in some of the minority groups converting to Christianity and leaving behind traces of this faith.
