Embarking on a journey to Khaptad National Park is not for the faint of heart, but trust us, it's an experience you won't want to miss. From Dhangadhi in the Kailali district, you'll be in for a scenic 7-hour drive via local transportation to Silgadhi in Doti district, which serves as the main gateway to the park. The bus fare for this leg of the journey is approximately 550 Nepali rupees. Once you arrive in Silgadhi, you'll find suitable accommodation options like hotels to rest and recharge.
From Silgadhi, the real adventure begins as you embark on a trek to Baglek, which takes around 3 hours. During the rainy season, the roads may be a bit challenging, but fear not, for you can hire a jeep for 2000 NPR to make your journey more comfortable. After reaching Baglek, continue your trek for another 2 hours to reach Jhingrana. Here, you'll find teahouses and accommodation to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings.
The final stretch of your journey takes you on a 5-hour trek from Jhingrana to Bichpani, where you'll encounter more breathtaking landscapes.
